I am a columnist with the Toronto Star. I write with my head and my heart. I write about development, the environment, politics, human rights. I am a community activist and social justice campaigner. Since the devestating 2010 earthquake, I report regularly from Haiti. I now live in Dakar, Senegal, with my husband and our two kids. I am currently writing a book.
