An experienced lawyer, Catherine Brennan attained a bachelor's degree in English and psychology from Fordham University. She went on to earn a juris doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 1995. Early in her career, Catherine Brennan worked as a reporter covering legal matters at the state and federal level for The Daily Record and a project coordinator for a pro bono legal representation effort by the Bar Association of Baltimore.

Catherine Brennan joined the Hudson Cook, LLP law firm in Hanover, Maryland, in 2004, as an associate, and became a partner in 2008. She focuses on furnishing counsel regarding federal and state commercial and consumer financial services law, with a concentration in the fintech space. Ms. Brennan often aids clients working to provide cutting-edge technology solutions, such as leading investors and banks implementing fintech programs, and she utilizes her knowledge of financial services law to navigate licensing requirements and other government regulations.
