Catherine Kidd

Welcome!

My name is Catherine Kidd and I am currently a Junior at Louisiana State University. I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity and I enjoy participating in various clubs on campus. In my spare time I like to be outdoors playing and being active with my black lab named Sport.

One interesting thing about me that I would like to share with you is my experience in Haiti this past February. One of my closest friends, Whitney, suddenly passed away last November. A few months before his passing, he voluntered in Haiti helping to re-build and bring elecricity and water to an orphanage. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to go back to Haiti in Whitney's honor to help finish what he started. I learned so much about life and love in that one single week than I have over the course of my entire life. I encourage every one of you to go on out and help! Go on a mission trip, volunteer at a shelter, or even just give someone a smile. There are so many people who have so little and we are truly blessed to have the life we have, I feel that it is our responsibility to pass that blessing along!
