Hi, I am Catherine Lassiter! For most people, when they hear my last name, they know that I have a twin sister. Growing up, my twin Laura and I were very close. We had the same friends, the same interests, the same style, and pretty much everything in between. However, coming to a college that is different for my twin sister, most people aren’t aware that I have a twin and find it to be a pretty interesting fact. Laura and I definitely kept our parents hands full as we were very energetic and outgoing kids. I would also say not much has changed… Laura goes to the University of North Carolina and even though we’re far apart now we are equally as close if not closer because we don’t stop texting each other ha ha ha. I always find it important to emphasize, that even though we grew up very similar, there’s a lot of things that separates us. For example, we were both very into sports, but I played soccer and ran cross country and Laura played basketball. Laura is a more competitive person, whereas I would cheer people on as they passed me during a cross country meet. So, moral of the story is even though our faces look very similar to each other, there are many other factors that define me for me and Laura for Laura. The biggest blessing in my life is being a twin and it has been very enjoyable to celebrate birthdays, holidays and accomplishments right next to my best friend.
