Catherine Lindstrand

Catherine Lindstrand DVM began her career in the veterinary field with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Soon afterward, Catherine Lindstrand DVM became the State Veterinarian at the Charles Town Races in Charles Town, WV. In her spare time, Catherine Lindstrand DVM assisted efforts at various local animal clinics. Once her two year contract had expired, Catherine Lindstrand DVM accepted another job offer and moved to Michigan. For the next four years, Catherine Lindstrand DVM worked full time at a small animal clinic and part time at a local equine practice. During this time, Catherine Lindstrand DVM dreamed of having her own veterinary clinic, and after planning and saving, she opened the Isabella Cat Clinic, P.C. in April 1998. Located in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Isabella Cat Clinic is an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) certified practice working solely with felines. There are several benefits of a feline-only clinic, one being the absence of dogs altogether. Understanding how stressful the car ride and overall clinic experience is for cats, Catherine Lindstrand DVM chose to completely remove the sight, sound, and smell of dogs to create a more relaxed atmosphere. Another benefit of an all-feline clinic is Catherine Lindstrand DVM and her staff can concentrate all of their research in one area, acquiring new information much faster than they could dividing their time between multiple subjects. Lastly, Catherine Lindstrand DVM has built Isabella Cat Clinic into a feline haven tailoring the entire facility strictly for the needs of cats and proudly gives tours upon request. Catherine Lindstrand DVM and Isabella Cat Clinic offer multiple services, including hospitalization, boarding, grooming, microchipping, laser surgery, and wellness health plans. As a testament to her empathy for felines, Catherine Lindstrand DVM regularly saves kittens and cats scheduled for euthanization and puts them up for adoption through Isabella Cat Clinic. All kittens and cats are chosen for good personality, tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, neutered or spayed, and dewormed if necessary. Though she has worked with animals of all sizes, from thoroughbreds to kittens, Catherine Lindstrand DVM has chosen to spend the rest of her career improving the lives of her feline friends.
