Catherine Minnis is Founder/CEO of The Minnis Group, a public relations and small business consulting firm in South Florida. The Minnis Group helps minority- and women-owned businesses with professional services that help to grow their business, including advertising, business development, fundraising, community outreach and public relations. Ms. Minnis also serves as a BRACE Advisor for Broward County Public Schools. Ms. Minnis is the School Coordinator for the Women of Tomorrow Program at Boyd H. Anderson High School and a mentor with Take Stock in Children.
Ms. Minnis completed 22 years of service as a Public Administrator with Miami-Dade County. Ms. Minnis served as Director of Business Development/Community Outreach for the 2010 South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee with major responsibility for the National Football League’s Emerging Business Program.
Ms. Minnis volunteers her time and serves on numerous South Florida Boards, namely member of the City of Miramar Planning & Zoning Committee; Treasurer/Executive Board Member of the South Florida Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated; Treasurer/Board Member of Women With H.E.A.R.T.; Board Member of Young at Art Children’s Museum; Member of the 1,000+ Club to Benefit Cancer; Gold Lady Bug with Honey Shine; and an alumni of the U. S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation Miami Division Citizens’ Academy (2008). A graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami Program (1997), Ms. Minnis holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in International Business and a Bachelor of Public Administration from Florida International University (FIU) respectively. Ms. Minnis served as a member of the FIU-College of Business Dean's Alumni Circle (2008-12); member of the American Cancer Society/Dade-Monroe Unit (2006-12) and Past President of the National Black MBA Association, Inc.-South Florida Chapter (2008-12).
Ms. Minnis is the proud mother of three children.
