One of my strength is learner. I love to learn. Whatever the subject, I will always be drawn to the process of learning which is exciting for me. I am energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence. My excitement leads me to engage in learning experiences such as piano lessons, and it enables me to thrive in dynamic work environments where I am asked to take on short project assignments and expected to learn a lot about the new subject matter in a short period of time and then move on to the next one. I think the learner theme does not necessarily mean that I seek to become the subject matter expert, or that I am striving for the respect that accompanies a professional or academic credential. The outcome of he learning is less significant than the "getting there".

There were many assignments I have completed for the survey course this semester. One of them was time management activities. I am not a good time manager and easily get stress if I have not enough time to finish bunch of assignments when deadline is coming. However, the professor taught me several ways to get rid of these problems. First assess how I am currently spending my time and whether I could be using it more intelligently. Also, effectively schedule times. A week planner and setting a goal are also helpful to manage time. It is very significant to master these skills and well manage time as a college student. If I cannot work efficiently, I would probably get some trouble to finish assignment on time or have no time to do some other activities I would like to do.

Another one was wellness dimensions which helped me well identify my strength. Nine wellness dimensions were tested and I realized that there is still uncertainty of my goal and found out a big value difference between Chinese and American. Sometimes it is not 100 percent that you are able to do a good job on a thing you love, while is determined on many factors. I also love all the things about music, however I think music can only be an interest instead of a stable occupation for the whole life, which is a real problem in China. People are more likely to choose a job which is more stable and has higher salary, while which could not be what they really like. However, I think it is important to find out the interest because when I do something I interested in and once set a goal, all the obstacles would be used as a source of motivation to keep me working hard toward my goal.
