Cathleen Avila

As of the end of May I've been back in the USA for 5 years. I believe 30 years away has offered me a unique perspective on how my culture has changed. During my 30 years away, I paid taxes, owned or rented property and used the health care systems of 3 European and 1 Middle Eastern country. When compared to these experiences, the USA is extremely complicated. It seems to me that the boiing frog syndrome is at play here. In other words, this complexity has crept up on us until we are drownding in it. To keep my mind active I'm putting my ideas for sumplifying these systems and other bits of unsolicited advice out there on a Blog. My target start date is 1 August. Once the Blog is out there. I'll put the URL here and hope you wll join me in the discussion.
