Question: How much should i save up for insurance for a car?

Okay so i have a job i work at the airport.Note:Im only 16,turning 17 in December I will be getting my licensein July.And my brother is going to give me his car in 8 more months.But he told me i have to save up for insurance and gas.So how much do you guys i should be putting into my savings account to save up for insurance and gas bills?I get paid every 2 weeks if that helps thanks
