I am a native Houstonian, now living in California. My father Dewey Compton was a famous radio and television personality along with my brother Ronnie. Tragically they both perished along with my mother and sister-in-law, Hart, in a private plain crash in late 1976. I went on to graduate from Texas A&M with a BBA in Finance and a double minor in Economics and Management and then graduated with honors from Golden gate University with a Masters in Finance..

I have worked for the State of California for 23 years and have received three different appointments from two sitting Governors. In all I have over 30 years management experience gained in the public, for-profit and non-profit sectors.

I am currently involved in developing my second career as an accomplished writer and motivational speaker. My first book, a memoir about the tragedies in my life was release March 2014 and is entitled "Living Through The Pain - The Lonely Me." Check it out on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
