After two decades working in and around technology communications it was a brush with serendipity that brought me back to the type of communication I hold most dear – working with dogs.

A chance conversation in May 2012 took me to Downtown Las Vegas to explore the revitalization efforts underway there. While in town, I got an idea. Six months later I moved there to bring it to life.

"It" is the Hydrant Club, a membership-access social club giving dogs and dog owners a place to play, socialize and expand their education about responsible canine citizenship – specifically in a city setting.

Now my work is focused on helping people better understand each other by better understanding their dogs. Having worked as a storyteller for many years, I now teach people that knowing one’s “place in the pack” is the core of their story – regardless of how it’s being told.
