Based in Atlanta, GA, corporate attorney Cathy D. Hampton serves as senior division counsel for Womble Bond Dickinson, where she has worked since February 2019. She also serves as an independent director and sales committee chair for Ameritech Facility Services, a renovation and construction enterprise with Georgia, Texas, and Arizona locations. Prior to that, Cathy D. Hampton served as the Chief Legal Officer for the City of Atlanta, where she led an 85-member department that provided aviation, regulatory, public finance, litigation, real estate, film office, contract administration, economic development, and other legal services for both elected officials and 8,000 employees. During her tenure, Hampton led pension and water reforms for the city and secured a 20-year extension of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s agreement with Delta Airlines.

In November 2024, Cathy Hampton joined Miles Mediation & Arbitration, the fastest-growing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider in the Southeast. Cathy brings over 30 years of successful experience in transactional, corporate, regulatory, and litigation matters to her work as a mediator. She has executed major transactions across multiple industries, including high-stakes sports sponsorships, the consolidation of a global bank conglomerate, the sale of an international hospitality brand, a construction merger, and the sale of multiple retail assets.

Cathy D. Hampton earned her BA from Spelman College and her JD from Harvard Law School. She also earned a graduate study fellowship from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and was a Charles Merrill International Studies Scholar at Oxford University. Hampton was appointed to the State Bar of Georgia's Committee on Professionalism and also served as Corporate Counsel Section Chair.
