Cathy Gedvilas

Cathy Gedvilas holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Arizona State University. After she graduated from the university in 1987, Cathy Gedvilas’ notable professional work included earning a position at Fortune 100 company Honeywell International Inc. Known for inventing and manufacturing new technologies, Honeywell afforded her the opportunity to be a part of a global company. Cathy Gedvilas also had the opportunity to interface with others working in diverse industries such as energy, efficiency, and utilities; defense and aerospace; transportation; construction, buildings, and maintenance; manufacturing; and refining, petrochemicals, bio fuels, oil, and gas. In 1998, Cathy Gedvilas became a Communications Representative at Phelps Dodge Corporation, now known as Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, Inc. This was another position in which the communications professional worked within a global network, this time at one of the world’s leading mining companies. Returning to Honeywell, Cathy Gedvilas continued to rise through the ranks of the Communications Department; in 2000, she was promoted to Internal and External Communications Manager. Then, in 2005, Gedvilas took her talents to Landmark Aviation and StandardAero, where she again took on the managerial job in Internal and External Communications. Eventually, Cathy Gedvilas earned the position of Media Relations Manager for Honeywell. Interfacing with the press in a way that incorporates the duties of a Public Relations Manager, Gedvilas brought the added strength of her degree and journalistic experience to the position. In 2009, Cathy Gedvilas accepted a job at Sequa Corporation subsidiary Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC, where she continues to work as the Director of Corporate Communications.
