Cathy Sakiyama

I moved with my husband Steve from Alberta to Saanichton, British Columbia over 25 years ago. Our kids are now adults and pursuing music and medicine. The recent death of both my father and mother (along with her dementia in the years before her passing) are difficult losses which have given me a heart for seniors and their adult children. I have walked my own road with depression at different junctures so have an understanding of darker times. Hiking, music, humor and connecting with others are life-giving. Community is crucial to me as well as times of quiet.
