Catherine Pazvakavambwa
Small Business Owner, Consultant, and Public Speaker in Perth, Western Australia
I am the Founder and CEO of Kalahari Business Advisors as a small business consultant with a background in accounting which she started in 2011. My career began in 2006 following my completion of Masters of Accounting degree at Curtin University.
I had completed my bachelor degree in Commerce at the University of Western Australia in 2005 majoring in Investment Finance, Corporate Finance and Marketing.
I am a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, a Registered Tax Agent and a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Taxation Institute of Australia.
My main focus is on business improvement by providing advice to small businesses and Superfund administrators experiencing confusion due to lack of clarity around the best structure for them and minimise the risk of facing high tax payments, unintentionally putting personal at risk and/or going through expensive business partner breakdowns.
I have also consulted with a number of not-for-profits to assist with improving the financial literacy of those organisations by introducing systems which focus on simplicity while maintaining integrity in the reporting of the numbers.
My clients have described me as the ‘Accountanese Translator’ with the way I explain the business numbers and performance in a way that makes them understand their businesses better.
