Caty Gomez is a Mexican event and wedding producer with 20 years of experience in planning events to Mexican and international celebrities and high society.

Caty Gomez Weddings has offices and exclusive event spaces on both coasts of Mexico – in Acapulco by the Pacific and now in the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean coast.

Early years

Caty grew up in a very tight traditional Mexican family. Growing up, she enjoyed watching her grandmother’s cooking, who used her love for food and fresh ingredients in her daily kitchen rituals.

When Caty got engaged, her wedding reception in Acapulco was far from what she had been dreaming about. Soon after, Caty joked: “I will do my own receptions in Acapulco.” Little did she know that in three months she would start planning weddings in Acapulco.

Career

From the very beginning, Caty felt she was doing something that she was passionate about. That made her unstoppable – today her company is recognized as one of the top in the world in event production and design.

She realized that the success of her company depended on the quality people she surrounded herself with, and that became the underlying principle for forming and growing her company.

Mexico Wedding Magazine launches in 2013

In 2013, Caty Gomez Weddings launched Mexico Wedding Magazine, the first of the kind in the market. A digital high quality publication, available on all tablets and online, it is directed towards upscale global market worldwide and shows the best aspects of Mexico as a destination for weddings. The team of expert collaborators shares tips, ideas and inspiration for even the most demanding brides.

Venues

Caty Gomez Weddings manages two exclusive event venues - El Manglar, a private island in Acapulco; Maia Ka'ab, a private venue under the stars of Tulum, opening its doors in 2014.
