Cayla Gonzalez

I am a student at Rollins College currently living in Winter Park, Florida. My interests range from travel to volunteering.

Hi, my name is Cayla Gonzalez and I am a sophomore at Rollins College. I am majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Spanish. I am originally from Greenwich, CT however I attended a private liberal arts boarding school in Massachusetts, Northfield Mount Hermon. There, I grew to be very independent and developed great time management skills. Throughout my time at NMH I was involved in many team activities, one of which being crew. My senior year I transitioned from a rower to the coxswain which gave me a leadership position within the team. This leadership position taught me how to manage a large group of people, which in turn taught me how important it is to be respected while keeping good relationships. These skills benefited me throughout my years at Rollins because I entered college with the same mindset I learned during my time there. Within my first year, I joined an organization on campus, Chi Omega. Chi Omega has allowed me to get more involved on and off campus such as my involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. My longterm goal is to find what makes me happy and pursue it throughout the rest of my life, I am unsure what that is right now but I am determined to find it.
