The background image is a reproduction of artist Steve Keene's painting made in 2006, based on the Sanford Gifford painting "Morning in the Adirondacks" which hangs in the Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas. Sanford Gifford's painting inspired me as a student of art history, it encouraged me to apply for law school, and Mr. Keene's transformative work hangs in my home. I can see myself in this painting. Bright colors, expressive and purposeful application, inspired by a movement toward renewal.
