I major in Communication Studies at Kansas State University, however this was not my initial plan. I thought I wanted to study business, but I realized I was choosing that major for reasons that didn't align with my values and passions. I chose Communication Studies because it challenges me personally and allows me to do what I am passionate about: communicate intentionally and build true relationships with others.

The Academic and Career Information Center is a powerful resource. Its goal is to help in the way each individual student needs it most. Just like I realized that my values and passions deserve a place in my future (and thus my career), ACIC can help give you the tools and encouragement to discover what fuels YOU.

If I get the honor of meeting with you, I am most likely to use my strength of Connectedness. I think your story is unlike any other and has a purpose that will beautifully contribute to the lives of others. Your unique story and abilities comprise a piece of the bigger picture, and without you, the puzzle connecting each of us together could not be complete.

On campus, I am a Resident Assistant in a residence hall as well as a Career Specialist at ACIC. I also enjoy doing research in Communication Studies whenever my schedule allows it. I am also involved in a local church!

I want to go to graduate school and eventually get my Ph.D. so I can teach at a univeristy and continue to contribute research to the Communication discipline. I am especially passionate about helping humans in general. I really believe we each have a place and a purpose that only we can fulfill. I want to celebrate the beauty and power I see in others.
