As a proud UGA student I am prideful about the fact that I was born into a Dawg Tailgating Family and will most likely die a UGA fan. Both my parents attended UGA and have been going to games since before they were students there. They continued to go to games and were even at the 2006 Homecoming game 3 days before I was born, because of this I have been backing the Red and Black for as long as I can remember.
Now that I’m able to get student tickets rightfully through my own account, I have attended every game possible and will never let a good football ticket go to waste, even if that means giving them to someone at a tailgate. My tailgating crew have not only helped me get through my “totally difficult” first semester, but they have also helped me to branch out and spend time doing things I wouldn’t typically do or hang out with people that I wouldn’t normally be around. Strangely enough, I’m not a huge fan of most sports it’s really just Georgia Football and maybe some golf tournaments since I watch them with the same crew.
With all that said I am a proud Georgia fan for the people, the sport, and the community that it fosters. If I hadn’t been raised a Dawg, I don’t think I would be the same person I am today, and for that I am grateful.
