Courtland L. Bovee

Courtland L. Bovee is one of America's leading instructors in clear and effective communication. He has 22 years of teaching experience at Grossmont College in San Diego, California, where he has received teaching honors and was accorded that institution's C. Allen Paul Distinguished Chair.

He is a co-author of several leading college-level texts, including Business Communication Today, Excellence in Business Communication,and Business in Action. He and his coauthor just announced coverage of AI in each chapter of Business Communication Today, 16th Edition.

In addition to being a respected writer, Professor Bovee is also a highly regarded management consultant, known worldwide for his seminars and in-company training programs. He is active in the Association for Business Communication and the Textbook Authors Association.

He moderates four online business communication instructor groups and two introduction to business instructor groups on Facebook and LinkedIn. Among the more than 200 million profiles on LinkedIn, Bovee is in the top 1% of the most viewed profiles.

Bovee, and his coauthor, John Thill, are known as the most innovative authors in the business communication field. They were the first authors to integrate digital, social media, mobile, and artificial intelligence in a business communication textbook, to have their own YouTube channel, and to have a blog in the field (Bovee and Thill's Business Communication Blog). Bovee and Thill have won the Excellence in Textbook Award from the Textbook Authors Association for all three of their texts. They have been honored by the Boston Red Sox and the Governor of Massachusetts for their outstanding contributions to education.

Bovee is Chairman of the Board of Neurogensis Learning System and the developer (with John Thill) of NeuroOptimized Learning.
