The Leading Edge for Creativity on Campus
The Center for Creativity and the Arts (CCA) at California State University, Fresno is an institution designed to bridge people, disciplines and ideas through art and exploration. Each year, CCA explores a common theme, addressing a complex issue facing our society.
Through exhibitions, films, lectures, debates, musical performances, and theatrical performances, the theme is approached from a cross-disciplinary perspective garnering expertise and stimulating examination from faculty and students from a variety of academic and professional disciplines at Fresno State.
Utilizing galleries and other venues on campus, and collaborating with local museums, schools, and organizations, CCA provides the community with access to the creative works of acclaimed authors, artists and performers. Most of these exhibitions, lectures, films, and performances are free and open to the public. Furthermore, guest artists dedicate a portion of their visit to collaborate with elementary through university students.
