I write a blog about my life. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder. The blog happened as sort of an accident after years of working with children and adults surviving trauma as a social worker. I then had a breakdown after many years of dealing with my own unresolved issues and other mental illnesses, including Bipolar Disorder, and my other selves became known.

The blog is a look into an uncensored DID life. It is a place where much of our healing takes place. Hopefully, it is also a place of advocacy, both subtle and not so subtle. We like to think that it shows the normalcy of those living with DID to those unfamiliar with it, as well as the effects that child abuse has on those that continue into adulthood with the scars that go with it. Advocacy is one we try to maintain throughout as we weave our story with our everyday life.

It is still new to us after four years of awareness. The blog is very new. If anyone is interested in DID, child abuse, or advocating for children please feel free to give it a glance. Every child needs an advocate. If we can help in any way with that or help someone with our story, we have done something to give back.
