I'm happiest in small companies, and have been an early-stage employee at 5 small companies since 2001, with 2 of those companies having had successful exits.

My technical interests currently include "big data" problems, scalability challenges, machine learning, content recommendation/relevancy, etc. I'm a hands-on technologist and enjoy architecting, coding, and building big systems.

Previously I worked on programming languages, compilers, code optimizers, runtime environments, and virtual machines.
