Clifford C. Marshall

Clifford C. Marshallis a longtime education and community leader who has dedicated more than 20 years of service to the citizens of Butts County. As a member of the Butts County Board of Education representing District 4, Marshall has helped guide policies and investments that strengthen local schools, support educators, and expand opportunities for students and families throughout the community.

Now, Marshall is seeking to continue his service as a candidate for the Butts County Commission, District 4. As Butts County experiences significant growth and investment along the I-75 corridor, he believes the community must ensure that progress benefits residents, small businesses, and future generations.

Over the course of more than two decades in public service, Marshall has helped oversee millions of dollars in public investment into the Butts County School System, supporting initiatives that improve learning environments, enhance student achievement, and prepare young people for college, technical careers, and workforce opportunities. His leadership has consistently emphasized fiscal responsibility, transparency, and collaboration with educators, parents, and community stakeholders.

Marshall’s commitment to service has been widely recognized across the community. In recognition of his leadership and dedication to the citizens of Butts County, he was presented with a formal proclamation by the City of Jackson, Georgia honoring his years of service and contributions to education and the broader community.

As Commissioner, Marshall will focus on: 1) Responsible economic development that creates local jobs; 2) Infrastructure investments that support growth and quality of life; 3) Support for small businesses and local entrepreneurship; 4) Strong partnerships between education, workforce, and industry; and, 5) Transparent and accountable stewardship of taxpayer resources
