Clarence Edwards has more than twenty years of experience in international government relations and global development policy. As the Senior Advisor for International Development Policy for the Australian Embassy in Washington DC, he built and managed relationships with the United States government, private sector companies, and non-governmental organizations, and represented the interests of the Australian foreign aid program in the areas of development finance, education, gender, global health, and infrastructure.

Clarence has advocated for increased US government funding for neglected tropical diseases and HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria programs on behalf of the Albert Sabin Vaccine Institute, Bono/the ONE Campaign, Humanity United and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. His experience also includes managing the congressional program for the Council on Foreign Relations and serving at the US Department of State, where he managed international media relations in the Clinton Administration. He began his career by working for a lobbyist and serving as an intern in the US Senate.
