Student and Educator in Sudbury, ON, Canada

Hire me

My name is Collin Donaldson. I was born in Windsor, Ontario, in April of 1995. I was raised in Sudbury, Ontario, by both my parents - growing up alongside my older brother and younger sister. I obtained my bilingual high school diploma from Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School. Throughout my high school career, I excelled in athletics (specifically football and volleyball) and even participated in a multitude of regional and provincial championships.

I continued my education in Sudbury through Laurentian University, where I chose to pursue a degree in Sport & Physical Education while simultaneously attaining my junior/intermediate teaching certificate. I’ve had the opportunity to further my skills in a structured setting by working as an otherwise approved Early Childhood Educator in a before and after school daycare program while completing my degree. Additionally, I am working towards my level 2 challenge course facilitation certificate by working at Laurentian’s Outdoor Center.

Through my work experience, I’ve been able to hone my sport and physical literacy - gaining confidence with each passing day. My enthusiasm in seeing children succeed in whatever makes them happy fuels my passion for education. Right now, I have completed nearly a third of my concurrent B. Ed. at Laurentian University and will undertake a long term placement in May before returning to my final professional year in 2020-2021. I hope to make the best of the time that I have by doing all that I can to see my students reach their maximum potential. I look forward to teaching others about the importance of human movement by utilizing inclusive games and activities.
