Cece Schrader

Hi, My name is Cece! I am a current freshman and plan on majoring in biology on the pre-med track! With my pre-med certification, I plan on going into the medical field and becoming a doctor, but more specifically I am interested in becoming a pediatric orthopedic surgeon.

I have always loved kids. Being the oldest of nine first cousins, working with little kids has always been something I've been surrounded by and have become very passionate about. These past three summers, I have had the privilege of working at Camp High Harbor at Lake Burton.

Camp High Harbor has been single-handedly the greatest learning experience I have had. Working in the Trailblazer program, a cabin for rising freshmen in high school that focuses on growing their confidence in themselves and their faith by placing them in uncomfortable situations such as hiking, whitewater rafting, sleeping in a cave, spelunking, and zip lining, I have single-handedly watched the lives of kids change each summer and I'm passionate about pursuing a job that continues to allow me to change kids lives. In my profile picture, you can see my amazing CIT and I celebrating making it to the top of Yonah Mountain, one of the hikes we do. In addition to working in the Trailblazer program, this summer I was able to work in the Leadership cabin. The Leadership cabin is a 3-week program for rising freshmen in high school that teaches them how to be strong leaders, both in the camp setting and the real world. Working with kids has been my greatest blessing and I can’t wait to continue that into the real world!
