Cecilia Lemos
ELT Teacher since 1993 in Recife, Brazil. She has taught all ages and levels, but currently focuses on teens and adults, from elementary to advanced and exam preparation. In addittion to teaching, she's led the writing/development of the handbook for the High Intermediate course (4 semesters, B2 level), has worked as test manager for the University of Michigan proficiency tests, she was also involved with the early stages of developing the evaluation through electronic portfolios and using alternative assessment as an evaluation tool.
She's written 2 books for the New Standard English College course by Macmillan (China) and is currently the president of the state chapter of the national ELT teacher organization - Braz-Tesol.
She's currently the Director of Studies at Cultura Inglesa in Madalena, Recife. Her work encompasses choosing the material used, observing teachers, create and conduct a continuous development program with the institution's teachers, tutoring novice teachers, hiring new teachers, developing the syllabus, etc.

Presenter at international ELT conferences such as IATEFL, TESOL, Braz-Tesol as well as regional conferences and online with webinars and online conferences such as #RSCON (Reform Symposium).Has also given training sessions on portfolio evaluation, online Professional Development and alternative assessment to other teachers of the institution as well as teachers from the public education system in Pernambuco.
Latest online ventures include being an organizer of the Reform Symposium (#RSCON) and being an associate for the iTDi Project.
In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, watching films and traveling to get immersed and interact with different cultures.
