I am a French native speaker, currently living in Waterlooville, UK and raising two multilingual children whilst working as a freelance translator/interpreter.
I grew up with a strong fascination for the German language and studied it in fact for 13 years. It was in one of my many trips to Germany that i met my husband who dragged me to his home country after he proposed. England. The funny part of that story is that I could barely align one English sentence when we first met. But I rose to that challenge, and two years later, I took on further studies and graduated with a MA in translation and interpreting from Surrey University. One of the greatest and fulfilling challenge of my linguistic life. That year, I also added Portuguese in my portfolio of languages.
So now you know a little bit more about me, here are the services I offer :
English & German > French TRANSLATION with specialisation into the following fields :
Social sciences /psychology: study and application of psychometric instruments, including the translation of training manuals, website content, case studies, related marketing products, etc. Over 100 000 words translated so far for one niche client. I am also a certified practitioner to one of their main psychometric instrument, the MBTI.
Business / Marketing: any material content related to the launch and promotion of marketing campaigns/products including website localization, press releases, legal notices, research studies and promotional video subtitling and voice-over.
I have studied business & marketing in the course of my five years studies in France and England before going into that field.
Financial / Insurance: I am bringing over two years of field experience in Insurance (home and health insurance) into my translations as well as three years of financial and corporate studies.
Religion / Relief & Development: I am a Jesus follower and a church goer. I have also been volunteering for five years as a translation coordinator for an international organisation specialising in relief&development, church planting, evangelisation, justice and mentoring.
