Cecilia Chung

Honolulu

Cecilia is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC), with a B.A. in Public Relations and a B.A. in International Relations. She recently obtained her M.S. from Johns Hopkins University, School of Education.

Through the Teach for America program, Cecilia continues to teach her awesome 3rd grade scholars. In the past, Cecilia has worked as the Program Coordinator for PEER, a mentorship program at USC, winning the Director of the Year Award for her work. She has also served as a Resident Advisor for freshman students-- planning events and providing a fun and safe space in the dormitories. Cecilia has done outreach and organizing for a community organization, the Little Tokyo Service Center, by translating content into Korean and servicing a targeted audience.

She is obsessed with social media and personal branding. She has run many Twitter accounts. One specific account of which she is especially proud is the Twitter account she managed while on the Community Management and Marketing Team for JumpStart, formerly known as Knowledge Adventure. She also wrote articles, worked with social media analytics and helped create strategic PR plans.

Cecilia is a foodie, a social media enthusiast, and a social activist.
