Hello and welcome to my online portfolio! My name is Cecilia Emily Chappotin, and I’m so happy that you stumbled upon my page. Feel free to kick back, relax and make yourself at home. Let me start off by giving you a quick rundown of my current life status, and then I’ll tell you about my career (the real reason you’re probably here).

I am a University of West Florida Public Relations & Communications college graduate, a wife and a first time mom to the most beautiful baby girl named Olive Lily. I’m a vegetarian, a proud Shih Tzu owner, a comedy enthusiast and a lover of all things internetty (yes, I made that word up).

Now that you know a bit about my personality and interests, I’d like to give you my career background up until this very moment.

As I mentioned before, I graduated from UWF with a BA in Public Relations. During my time at UWF, I had the opportunity to intern with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in their inaugural season. I assisted the community manager with maintaining social media outlets for the team and worked on several projects aimed at promoting the team and engaging fans.

After my internship with the Wahoos, I was hired as a front desk agent with Innisfree Hotels. I quickly advanced to a social media coordinator position at the Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport, which was Innisfree’s newest hotel property at the time. I performed my job by encouraging the guest to engage with the property on social media. I developed a system which offered incentives in order to get the guest talking. My efforts garnered the attention of Innisfree’s in-house marketing agency Mobius Digital Marketing, now Bee Loud Digital Marketing, who offered me a digital marketing internship.

I learned so much about social media and digital marketing from my internship with Mobius. It fueled my passion and set me on my current path. I am currently a social media marketing assistant and website content editor for Ascendancy Internet Marketing. In my current job, I do everything from scheduling social media content, digital content curation, copy editing, website editing, monthly client reports, management of five clients and graphic design.

My goals for the near future are to gain more experience in public relations, to be a part of planning and implementing creative digital campaigns and to travel.
