Cédric DEMETS
Ypres, Belgium
Born in '85, learning eversince. Studied Latin - Modern Languages first so I'm pretty much a linguist. I love to learn, speak and communicate in other languages. My mother tongue is Flemish (very similar to Dutch), but with French family and having learnt English and German in school, it's fair to say I speak about four languages. Well, three and a half, because I haven't spoken any German since 2003...
When graduating from secondary school, I started studying Archaeology. I've always found history and archaeology very interesting and exciting, so it was quite an obvious choise. Unfortunately, it turned out I stopped seeing that as a good career choice.. An interest, yes, a job, no. So that's why I'm no archaeologist at the moment.
Luckily for me, that moment was also the time when I found out there was this education called 'Sports management'. Totally what I needed! I've always been passionate about sports and events, so this was the perfect opportunity to become what I've always to be. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in sports management, I started working for the Department of Sports of the Flemish Government. I am still doing so now, but I am looking for a new challenge.
