I am a wife, and a mother of two adult children. As an advocate against animal cruelty, I have spent the past twenty + years taking care of several abused and neglected dogs and cats.
I absolutely love music with rock and inspirational being my favorites. Favorite bands include Journey (the past and present) and inspirational band Hillsong United. I love to sing and although I cannot play an instrument I enjoy listening to those that play drums and the guitar...favorite drummers include Phil Collins (from the group Genesis) and Deen Castronovo of Journey. My fav guitarists include Eric Clapton and Neal Schon of Journey.
I enjoy working with graphics through image manipulation (still learning and got a long way to go) and I am also an aspiring writer and have written a few (non-published) inspirational stories geared towards the youth but can be enjoyed by anyone.
I love encouraging people. There are too many that were/are beaten down emotionally and mentally from abuse that have not been able to pull themselves out of what it did to them. I used to have low self-esteem issues but through the strength of Jesus Christ and true friends, I found my identity and I try to be there for others and hopefully help them to find theirs, especially the youth. If just one person showed an interest in a soul crying out to be heard, it would make such a difference in the lives of that individual. As a former victim of child abuse among many other trials that I have endured, I hope to help others get through the trauma of the same and/or other forms of it, and help them to see that there is hope after the abuse.
I love to read and an avid fan of books written by Evangalist Nicky Cruz, and enjoy learning and experiencing new things. Although I cannot ride motorcycles I like them and get a lot of fun out of joining up with friends who have them and getting what I call 'a ride of freedom' from whomever will take me.
A very open person, I enjoy meeting new people and look at the heart of an individual. I'm not into "surface surfing" in other words I know the importance of not judging a book by it's cover, it is what's on the inside of a person that counts. I like people that are REAL, people who are not afraid to show their emotions regardless of the situation, people who don't walk around acting like nothing bothers them....keep it real and we'll do just fine.
