Celeste Sheppard
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Celeste Sheppard founded and practices with Hill County Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Austin, Texas. Furthermore, she works on staff as a perinatologist for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Celeste Sheppard worked as an associate with Austin Perinatal Associates and as Senior Staff Physician for the Scott & White Clinic, a health care provider in Texas.
Dr. Celeste Sheppard began laying the foundations for her career at Wellesley College, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts with a cum laude citation. Following this, she gained acceptance to The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD). She went on to complete an internship and residency with The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Memorial Hospital. She completed her formal training with fellowships in maternal fetal medicine and perinatal research with The University of Texas-Houston Medical School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
An active contributor to her field, Dr. Celeste Sheppard maintains affiliations with a wide variety of professional organizations, including the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association, and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Celeste Sheppard contributes to the advancement of knowledge in her field by presenting work at meetings held by the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the Society of Perinatal Obstetricians, and the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Dr. Celeste Sheppard enjoys pursuing a diverse range of enriching interests such as traveling, collecting books, and scuba diving.
