Celia Lumbreras
Project Manager, Artist, and Music Consultant in Madrid, España
I am a cultural and performing arts manager with more than 30 years of experience leading artistic, performing arts, and educational projects for some of Spain’s most prominent cultural institutions.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to the organization of more than 2,000 concerts, 60 opera productions, and 56 recording projects, working alongside internationally renowned artists, conductors, and orchestras. My background in music, visual arts, and commercial management has given me a multidisciplinary perspective that combines creativity, strategy, production, and audience development.
I am passionate about turning artistic ideas into meaningful, sustainable, and high-quality projects. I believe in professional excellence, attention to detail, adaptability, and the power of collaborative teams built on trust and shared commitment.
I currently serve as Performing Arts and Concert Series Project Coordinator at Fundación Juan March, one of Spain’s leading cultural foundations. In recent years, I have held responsibilities in production management, artistic coordination, editorial projects, and cultural programming for institutions including the National Centre for Music Dissemination (CNDM–INAEM), Teatro de la Zarzuela, Fundación Juan March, Fundación Jacinto e Inocencio Guerrero, the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir, and the Basque National Orchestra.
My experience also includes academic leadership, institutional consulting, and the training of emerging professionals in cultural management and the music industry. Previous positions include Academic Director at TAI University School of the Arts, Project Manager at Fundación Caja Madrid, advisor to Spain’s National Institute for the Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), and Project Manager for Salamanca European Capital of Culture.
I have been fortunate to be part of teams recognized with prestigious distinctions such as the Gramophone Award, the Europa Nostra Awards, and the Medal of Honor of the Reina Sofía School of Music.
More than three decades into my career, I remain inspired by the transformative power of culture. I believe that the most meaningful cultural projects are those that bring together artistic vision, professional excellence, and genuine human connection.
