Celina Morris is a Toronto based student in her second year at Ryerson University. She is studying Media Production with a focus on videography. In her Southern Ontario hometown, Celina found many opportunities to develop her skills and express passion for film by creating media personally and professionally.
She was able to work with local business, Culture Rodeo, where she became familiar with professional website upkeep and social media managing. In 2017, Celina worked as an event photographer for Port Dover’s Art in the Park Summer Festival, a local arts festival. Additionally, she created a short video for local 'Norfolk 150 Festival’ to celebrate Canada 150. Her video Norfolk County: Being was a short first-person perspective showcasing some of Norfolk County’s experiences, including sailing, golfing, ziplining, and visiting local wineries.
Celina is passionate about storytelling and spreading knowledge. Although she loves creating light-hearted comedy that makes people laugh, she is also interested in storytelling as a learning tool through non-fiction and documentary style media. She loves travelling and having unique experiences, and documenting these experiences to share with others. She has been producing short videos since she could hold a camcorder and is ambitious about what she can accomplish with media and technology.
Celina would like to continue pursuing the creative arts both in her studies at Ryerson and within her professional life. She is still considering the many different paths of the media industry, but hopes to find a way to continue expressing herself through storytelling and video production.
