George Pasca
London, United Kingdom
George Pasca grew up in Arad, Romania, and traces his background in a musical family. He has been a proactive solo, chamber and orchestral musician from a young age, participating and receiving prizes in numerous regional, national and international competitions, and also taking part in many international youth orchestra projects, with tours in Germany, Poland, Cyprus and Turkey.
George currently studies modern cello as his principle study instrument with Joely Koos at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, in London. During the course of his undergraduate years George has also participated in numerous master classes and cello courses with famous cellists such as Raphael Wallfisch, Laszlo Fenyo, Matthew Barley and Robert Max.
He is enthusiastic about exploring all aspects of his musical training, and has found a new passion and interest in historically informed performance practice, taking up baroque cello as his second study instrument, under the guidance of Sue Shepard.
George also enjoys experimenting with developing new techniques for more non-related cello genres such as folk and jazz. He is very keen on continuing his musical training in the U.K. and will undertake a full-time postgraduate course at Trinity Laban during the next academic year.
