CELSO CUNHA was born on the morning of June 7, 1953 in Nazareth off in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. He studied fine arts, architecture, graduated in BA in Design at the Federal University of Bahia, where he teaches today. In 1979 at age 26, won the national tender for execution of a huge mural to be installed in the foyer of the theater Yemanjá the Convention Center of Bahia. This official recognition, has defined its strong artistic vocation. Celso, as an artist, is characterized by a complete mastery and use of various materials and techniques in designing their work. His studio is a laboratory of alchemy, as he speaks. By research and use of combinations of materials, is always open to artists, friends and the general public, and offers courses to technical support, in the murals and sculptures. Its production is very much in tune, influenced and integrated into the architecture. During the period from 1996 to 2002 designed and executed the sculptures (animals) that populate the garden of the Center for Pediatric Hospital Alliance Alliance, as well as the meditation cave inside, works that are part of the project of humanization of the Alliance hospital.
