Cem Özçelik

I started my undergraduate studies at Yıldız Technical University, Art and Design Faculty, Audio Design Programme, Composition Department where I studied mostly on musicology topics. And, I received Master of Arts Degree in Composition from Istanbul Technical University - MIAM (Center for Advanced Studies in Music) in 2012. Between 2014-2015, I studied ‘Postgraduate Composition’ at Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool, Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen under the proficiency of Wim Henderickx and Luc van Hove.

I've attended many group and individual meetings with several widely-known composers from Europe, and I have my works performed by Vertixe Sonora Ensemble, ECCE Ensemble, Hezarfen Ensemble, Atlas Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, Logos Foundation's Robot Orchestra and Mivos Quartet.

I am also the founder and editor of “ccmd.eu”; a colorful initiative and an extending/improving network working as a promoter between the contributors and cultivating the European classical art music with other ensembles, assembles, performers and well-known composers of new music.
