Central Career School

Central Career School offers healthcare- and business-training programs for some of today's most in-demand careers. Developed with input from area employers and professionals, the programs provide focused, hands-on training designed to help graduates find workplace success. Central Career School possesses accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.

Featuring smaller class sizes and individualized attention, many of the school's programs can be completed in less than a year. The medical-assisting program is designed to prepare students for both clinical and administrative duties within a healthcare setting. The medical billing and coding training program, in contrast, centers on the administrative skills needed to work in a medical office. Graduates of the dental assisting program gain eligibility to sit for the approved dental radiography exam administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Outside of healthcare, Central Career School offers the Business and Technology Administrative Professional Program. The hands-on training gives students the opportunity to develop solid skills in administrative duties and office-applications software. The curriculum is designed to help graduates succeed in modern, computerized offices in a variety of employment settings.

For those ready for the job hunt, the Career Services Department's experienced advising staff offers one-on-one coaching. Both current students and graduates turn to the advisors for assistance with job searches, resume development, and interview preparation. The department's network of area employers helps the staff connect students with job leads or on-campus recruiting events. Based in South Plainfield, New Jersey, the school serves students in the counties of Middlesex, Somerset, and Union.
