I began my career as criminal lawyer, especially on medical malpractice, white collar crimes and work injuries.
During the last three years I have changed my point of view, working in a law firm who represented Italian and international food industries. We worked both on Italian and European legislation, with particular focus on food and feed law, labelling, regulatory law governing pharmaceutical products and cosmetics, as well as on competition law and other compliance matters.
From July 2013 I have started my independent consultancy activity in the same field.
My activity embraces also assisting clients both in managing consumer's complaints and in drafting internal procedures to minimize the impact of these matters.
I can assist clients in crisis management and food recalls/withdrawal from the market.
I can represent clients in front of criminal and administrative Italian courts, and in front of the competition authority AGCM. I can also provide guidance to clients within the context of negotiations and procedures within Italian and European authorities (e.g. the Italian ministry of health and the pharmaceuticals authority in Rome, the European Food Safety Authority based in Parma, European Commission in Brussels).
I am involved in several teaching and scientific activities, especially regarding food safety.
