Cesspool Pumping

Cesspool pumping is not as popular as it once was due to changes made by the Environmental Protection Agency and other professional organizations within the industry. Most cesspools are currently located on Long Island, NY and some still exist in the South Boston area between Cape Cod Massachusettes and the South Shore of MA. Even though most municipalities are trying to create legislation to have all cesspools eventually removed, it will be at least ten to twenty years before all cesspools and tanks will be phased out of use. The cost to install sanitary sewer systems and sewage processing plants is prohibitive but at some point cities and towns on Long Island will have no choice due to the environmental hazards posed by cesspools.
