CesZar John Da Laza is an American fashion designer and head couturier at House of Da Laza, a fashion powerhouse specializing in spectacular and innovative bridal fashions and red carpet attire. Presently Mr. Dalaza is the youngest in the bridal industry to be both a couturier and be seated on the board of more than one New York City based bridal company. As a native New Yorker, Dalaza currently resides in Forest Hills Gardens, Queens. Dalaza received his first taste of design at the tender age of fourteen. Ceszar was capable of inverting his grandmother's colorful tapestries and needle work designs into sewing bridesmaids outfits for various cousins’ weddings back in his father’s Philippine hometown. Fashion and design had always been a true love of Mr. Dalaza's henceforth it is no surprise that he would devote his life in this manner. During his late teens, Ceszar turned his creative sense of style towards event planning via the organization of a slew of events in the heart of the Big Apple.
While leading a bon vivant lifestyle, Dalaza carried his “eye” into the interior design field. Attention was given to private homes in the areas of: Greenwich Village, The Hamptons, The Adirondacks and the private Queens community of Forest Hills Gardens. Over the same period, Ceszar gained a newfound appreciation for fur whilst skiing throughout Europe that.
In 2012, Dalaza wed longtime boyfriend Bruce Goerlich. However frustration with the slim selection of existing bridal wear for same sex couples forced Dalaza to sketch and commission a dressmaker to tailor his elaborate wedding suit and train to the tune of $40,000. The following year, Dalaza established a bridal boutique in the upscale town of Old Brookville, New York. Catering particularly to celebrities and socialites, Dalaza’s bridal house initially showcased couture gowns by designers Alvina Valenta, Claire's Collection, Paloma Blanca, Pronovias, Rosa Clara, and Stephen Yearick. Subsequently, Ceszar honed his skills as a couturier culminating in the launch of Da Laza Haute Couture, a signature collection of sophisticated, streamlined bridal wear. Dalaza has since had the good fortune of being a noted feature in varied magazines namely: Clyde Creations, Long Island Weddings, Manhattan Bride, The Knot, The Knot Gay Same Sex, and 25A Magazine. House of Da Laza's flagship uniquely provides brides and canine alike a bespoke unparalleled service coupled with the prized Da Laza brand. Life is n
