Ceviche House

Orlando citizens do not have to travel far to taste authentic Peruvian food; the local Ceviche House, located on South Orange Blossom Trail, offers a wide variety of food authentic to South America. The restaurant's namesake is taken from the dish Ceviche, a seafood medley typically marinated in citrus juices and spiced with chili peppers. Ceviche House also offers a variety of soups, including the famous Parihuela, which features fish, shrimp, and calamari in a tomato broth. Other soups include Sopa de Pollo, the classic chicken soup with diced potatoes, and Aguadito de Mariscos, a mixture of seafood, rice, and green peas in a cilantro broth.

Ceviche House patrons may also enjoy beef and chicken entrees. Chicken comes grilled, sautéed, marinated, or breaded, and typically alongside rice, beans, or another side. Beef entrees often incorporate black angus steak with rice, white beans, or potatoes. Seafood dishes, too, are plentiful at Ceviche House, with offerings that include shrimp and white fish, among others. Visitors enjoy the live music or may even set up a private party for a family gathering, birthday party, or other special event.

Ceviche House was started by Chef Eduardo Munoz, who first began his career in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher at a Greek restaurant. He ultimately became a chef and attended a restaurant school in New York City. After graduating with high honors, Munoz continued to advance his skills through working at Greek and Chinese restaurants and moving to Florida to work at the Emeril Lagasse Restaurant. He opened Ceviche House in 2008 and continues to operate the restaurant to this day.
