Edie has relocated and now travels between her homes in Rio de Janeiro, and Arizona. Edie Lynch has a new autobiograpy, THE JOY BOY'S DAUGHTER, on amazon. com tracing six generations of her family, and highlighting her heroes and heroines. Edie writes with startling candor about the triumphs and tragedies that shaped her work and her life. Edie is a respected Producer and Director of Independent 16 mm Feature Film Documentaries, including Lost Control which was nominated for an Academy Award. She established Creative Find, Inc. a 501 (C) (3) Non Profit Arts Foundation in the State of New York to help At Risk Children. Donors included The Robert Goelet Foundation, the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation - and Music Legends Abbey Lincoln and Irving Burgie. Distributors included Phoenix Films & The Black Filmmakers Foundation. Film showings included PBS, The City Museum in New York, The Dutch Film Centrum in the Netherlands. Concord Films - London, The International Jamaican Film Festival, New York University, The New School and countless other Universities and TV Stations in the United States and Abroad. Edie Lynch's published book of Photography, "With Glory I So Humbly Stand" was used to promote PBS fund raising efforts for quality programming on the PBS Network. Her Jamaican Photographic Works were exhibited in a notable showing in New York City along with Gordon Parks and James Van der Zee in the "Black Achievement in The Arts" sponsored by CEO Frank Macri and The Equitable Life Assurance Company. Edie has always been committed to getting out her film stories that help to serve the World Community. Her interest and active commitment to the Theatre led her to produce a ground breaking marathon weekend acting seminar where famed Hollywood Producer Reuben Cannon flew in for the weekend to coach NYC professional actors in "Audition Techniques for Major TV and Film Roles."
