Christiaan Geel

I am a teacher, student, and project manager currently living in Roodepoort, South Africa. My interests range from technology to travel. I am also interested in reading, movies, and astronomy.

I am a Assistant Manager at Umalusi for Quality Assurance of Assessments: Schools. I finished all my major qualifications at RAU or now UJ and started teaching in 2002. In 2008 I joined the Gauteng Department of Educations as a Senior Education Specialist (Subject advisor) for Natural Sciences gr 4 -9 and Life Sciences gr 10-12. In 2011 I became the District Assessment official in charge of all internal assessment practices up to 2016 when I joined Umalusi.

I have decided that is now time to start with my masters as I already have three Hons. degrees in various fields (Science Education, Information Sciences and Linguistics:TESOL), also with my work and the Assessment Bodies that are moving into the e-learning field with on-line assessment and on-line marking, the quality assurer of education in SA need to be up to date with all the latest trends and policies. Thus this masters is a journey for me in personal enrichment and discovery of the e-learning environment.
