Cornelius Graves IV is a Teacher in Residence at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School. Having completed his 1st year lead teaching, he is ready to earn his MA in Teaching and NYS certification at Relay Graduate School of Education.

Cornelius Graves IV completed his degree in Theater Management and Dramatic Literature in December 2013 at Oberlin College. His academic work primarily engaged critical reflection of the US Black Theater Cannon and how the US Black Theological imaginary interact with it.

Cornelius Graves IV was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago in Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood and is a proud product of Chicago Public Schools and the International Baccaleareate curriculum. He is an avid theater goer and enjoys critical reflection of dramatic literature from all spaces of the African Diaspora. He is very interested and invested in the preserving and creating space for these stories, narratives and experiences.
