Chad Jordan

Chad Jordan is the founder or Cornerstone International, LLC, and is committed to finding sustainable solutions to global poverty, with field experience spanning five continents.

He is the author of Shut Up & Give? and is a recognized speaker on such topics as microfinance, foreign aid, water & sanitation, social entrepreneurship, community & grassroots development, foreign dependency, empowering the underserved, making the most out of church missions, and so on.

Having seen firsthand the failure of traditional, cyclical approaches to international development in nations like Haiti, Chad is committed to developing innovative approaches that look into the future and concentrate on long-term, sustainable solutions. By enabling men and women in the underserved world to lift themselves out of poverty one day at a time through the free flow of knowledge and capital, the Cornerstone team believes lasting changes will finally be achieved.

With extensive field research and consulting experience in the regions of East, South & West Africa, South Asia, Central America, and Europe, Chad has established himself as a leader in the movement to find sustainable global answers to the worldwide issue of poverty; he has also comprised a vast network of international development contacts.

Chad Jordan holds a bachelor's degree in international policy and a master's degree in international development from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He also serves on the board of directors for the Tanz East Africa Foundation.

In his down time, Chad is an adventure junkie – from rafting the Nile to skiing the Alps, from running marathons to creating memories with family.

One of Chad's favorite quotes: "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...Wow, what a ride!"
