I'm Chad Aaland, and I improve how the work gets done.

For sixteen years I've run finance and operations as CFO/COO of Move
Management Group in Boise, Idaho. Through Function Consulting, my practice,
I redesign the back-office processes I've spent my career owning: ERP
migrations, multi-system reconciliations, custom financial reporting, and
job-cost workflow design.

My approach is process first. I listen to find the root problem, which is
rarely the one people name, then redesign the workflow, and only then apply
automation. I don't automate broken processes.

I also build the tools a workflow calls for, designing them myself and
directing AI to implement them: an autonomous AP-invoice agent, a
construction-accounting assistant, and an accounting-automation toolkit.
